Following on growing interest from Coalition members since 2022 to better understand the magnitude, challenges and opportunities associated to a must-needed green transition that is consistent with the Paris Agreement and global decarbonization goals, this is a new workstream under the Coalition as of 2023.
The Green Transition work program will be built upon valuable contributions provided since 2022 and dedicated thematic discussions during the 9th Ministerial Meeting of the Coalition during the WBG/IMF Spring Meetings.
The kickoff meeting of the Green Transition workstream was held on May 23, 2023 with over 40 Coalition members and counted with the valuable participation of participants, whose corroborated the proposed concept note and activities for 2023.
