The Fourth Ministerial Meeting of the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action took place in a virtual format on October 12, 2020, from 6:30-8:30AM (EDT).

The Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action met under the Chairmanship of Ignacio Briones, Minister of Finance of Chile, and Matti Vanhanen, Minister of Finance of Finland on the sidelines of the 2020 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group. During the meeting the Coalition reaffirmed its commitment to the Helsinki Principles and discussed fiscal, economic and financial policies to tackle climate change amid the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Following the conclusion of the meeting, which was attended by Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and David Malpass, President of the World Bank Group, a Joint Ministerial Statement was issued.
